Thursday, November 13th (8pm) in DeBart 209: Bridge Negotiation

This Thursday we'll dive into student loan reform with a discussion of Senator Elizabeth Warren's "Bank on Students" Act. The purpose of our meeting is to discuss one proposed bill to tackle the student loan crisis and to ask how Republicans and Democrats might find common ground. We've been contacting Senate offices with questions and hope to present their answers at the meeting!

Sunday, November 16th (4pm): Learn how to negotiate with Steve Reifenberg

Stev Reifenberg is the Executive Director of the Kellogg Institute for International Studies. He is also former director for Latin America of the Conflict Management Group, an international non-profit created from the Harvard Negotiation Project at the Harvard Law School. Besides this, he is an all-around great person.

Sunday, November 23rd (5pm): Skype session with David Hoppe

David Hoppe a Notre Dame grad who has served as Chief of Staff to Sen. Majority Leader Trent Lott, Senator Jon Kyl and Rep. Jack Kemp (from NY). He's previously been president of one of the biggest lobbying firms in DC, Quinn Gillespie and Associates. He has also served as vice president for government affairs at the Heritage Foundation. He is currently working with the Bipartisan Policy Center on a project to modernize the Social Security Disability Program. 
 

This event will be held with College Democrats and College Republicans.
